Power rankings after Week 3: the Raiders are 3-0 and nobody saw it
All 32 after three weeks. Records in gray, reasoning underneath. Big movers: Jacksonville up five, New England down eight.
The 3-0 clubs, points scored: Bills 101 pts, Chiefs 88 pts, 49ers 98 pts, Vikings 71 pts, Raiders 88 pts
The 0-3 clubs, points scored: Chargers 44 pts, Buccaneers 62 pts, Texans 40 pts, Titans 37 pts, Dolphins 36 pts
Still the most complete team. 24-16 over the Chargers wasn't pretty and they're still undefeated.
3-0, but 36-30 against Arizona means the defense that allowed 20 points in two weeks has a leak.
Nobody's beaten them and nobody's impressed by them either. 24-10 over Miami is exactly what it looks like.
Three wins, none prettier than 23-16. The defense is legit and the offense does just enough.
The surprise of the season. Kirk Cousins has this team 3-0 and the Saints game was a road win.
35-6 over New England was the most impressive single performance of the week.
Won a 34-31 track meet in Dallas on a 56-yarder at the buzzer. Derrick Henry is still doing it.
One awful Monday night doesn't erase two wins, but seven points against Case Keenum's Bears is alarming.
31 points again. They've scored 31 in three straight and the defense is the problem.
Lost 33-31 in Washington, which snaps the best defensive stretch in the league.
Down 16-0 to the Rams and won. Bo Nix has now led two fourth-quarter comebacks in three weeks.
Lost a 30-27 division game they led. The defense that dominated Houston didn't travel.
Beat Cincinnati 30-27 and the offense finally looked alive with Rodgers.
Beat the Eagles by 20 with a backup quarterback. This team is stranger than any in football.
21-18 over Carolina. Two wins, neither convincing, but 2-1 is 2-1.
12-7 over Tennessee. Ugly, but they're 2-1 and the defense is carrying it.
Up 16-0 and lost. Thirteen penalties, two picks, 482 yards wasted.
Three points, then 35 in Lambeau. Bijan Robinson makes them dangerous every week.
Ran the ball nine times in a home loss. Whatever that gameplan was, it didn't work.
21-18 loss in Cleveland. The Week 2 shutout of Atlanta looks further away every week.
Lost by three on a last-second 56-yarder. Two of their losses are by a combined 10 points.
The defense that had allowed 16 points gave up 35 in Jacksonville. Drake Maye still isn't right.
31-24 in Detroit is respectable. They're still 1-2 with three close losses in feel.
Lost 35-27 at home to the Raiders. Tyler Shough is still the best thing here.
Scored 30 in San Francisco and lost. The offense woke up, the defense didn't.
First win, 19-17 over Houston. Took the Chiefs to overtime two weeks ago and still only have one.
Beat Seattle 33-31 for their first win. Best possible team to get it against.
Three losses, and the last two weren't close in the ways that matter.
0-3 after being everyone's sleeper. Herbert has no help and the defense can't get off the field.
Lost 19-17 to Indy. Two field goals and no answers, again.
12-7 in New Jersey with no touchdown until late. Cam Ward deserves better.
Ten points against Kansas City. They've scored 10, 13 and 13. Nobody's worse.
Three things the list says
- Nobody's separated yet. Buffalo's the only 3-0 team that's looked dominant, and even they won by eight on Sunday.
- The bottom is real. Five 0-3 teams and four of them are scoring under 50 points through three games.
- Vegas and Minnesota are the story. Both 3-0, neither was in anybody's preseason top ten.
