Week 2 kicks off: Lions at Bills
Week 2 starts Thursday in Buffalo, and both teams are coming off wild finishes.
The Bills
Josh Allen was in MVP form in Houston, throwing and running for four total touchdowns and hitting Joshua Palmer for the game-winner with 1:41 left. The worry is the defense, which gave up 31 points. Buffalo goes in as the favorite, with win probability models giving them roughly a two-in-three chance.
The Lions
Detroit beat the Saints 31-30, but only because New Orleans went for two in overtime and missed. The defense gave up 470 yards and let a 21-0 lead slip away. Jahmyr Gibbs carried a huge load with 29 of the team's 33 rushes.
Week 1 total yards: Bills offense 409 yds, Lions defense allowed 469 yds
- 67.5% Bills win probability
- 29 of 33 Lions rushes that went to Jahmyr Gibbs
- 4 Josh Allen total TDs in Week 1
What to watch
Can Detroit's defense slow down Allen at all? And can the Lions keep leaning on Gibbs that hard? If the Detroit D looks like it did Sunday, this could turn into a shootout fast.
